Lakeside Lutheran Scholarship Recipients Announced

Lakeside Lutheran High School announces that 41 students in the class of 2023 self-reported over $3,027,000 in renewable and one-time scholarship offers from individuals, foundations, organizations, and the schools they applied to attend. Of the 98 graduates, 80 have indicated plans to continue their education in the fall of 2023 through a two- or four-year university or tech school, one plans to enter the military, one plans to pursue an apprenticeship, and 16 will enter the workforce. Scholarships marked with an asterisk (*) indicate a renewable scholarship.

Olivia Bartels, daughter of Mark and Steph, Johnson Creek: Milwaukee School of Engineering Werwath Scholarship $46,000*, Illinois Institute of Technology STEM+ Scholarship $19,400*, Illinois Institute of Technology Heald Scholarship $25,000*, Tulane University Merit Award $14,000*. She will attend MSOE to study biomedical engineering.

Chloe Berg, daughter of Nathan and Jennifer, DeForest: Martin Luther College Messenger Scholarship $3,000*. She will attend Martin Luther College to study elementary education.

Ben Buxa, son of Greg and Linda, Oconomowoc: University of North Dakota Presidential Scholarship $3,500*. He will attend University of North Dakota to study mathematics.

Grace Cody, daughter of Rick and Lisa, Juneau: Concordia University Wisconsin Presidential Scholarship $13,000*, CUW Luther Promise Guarantee $1,000*. She will attend Concordia University Wisconsin to study sports and entertainment management.

Jack DePrey, son of Steve and Beth, Sun Prairie : Bethany Lutheran College Marvin G. Meyer Scholarship $28,000*, Bethany Lutheran College Music Lessons scholarship, Wisconsin State Telecommunications Foundation Scholarship $1,500, Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholar Award $2,250, Sons of the American Legion $750. He will attend Bethany Lutheran College to study business administration with an emphasis on finance. 

Julianne Dollard, granddaughter of John and Donna, Deerfield: Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design Dean Recognition Scholarship $16,000*. She will attend MIAD to study fine and studio arts.

Camryn Gilmore, son of Ronny and Angela, Jefferson: Lakeside Lutheran FFA Alumni Scholarship $500. He will attend WyoTech for an automotive career.

Tyler Gresens, son of Michael and Cathy, Sun Prairie: Grand Canyon University Presidential Scholarship $7,050*, GCU Canyon Christian Consortium $4,000*, GCU Priority registration award $200, GCU Thunderfund Scholarship $500*. He will attend Grand Canyon University to study accounting.

Elijah Grow, son of Clayton and Stephanie, Cottage Grove: UW-Whitewater Merit Scholarship $1,000*. He will attend UW-Whitewater to study business analytics.

Ethan Gulczynski, son of Nathan and Emily, Lake Mills: Bethany Lutheran College Luther Scholarship $12,000*. He will attend Bethany Lutheran College to study media arts.

Ava Heckmann, daughter of Matt and Amy, Middleton: Belmont University General Academic Scholarship $10,000*. She will attend Belmont University to study creative and entertainment industries.
